Lisa comes to SOFTG with extensive experience in the broadcast marketplace, specializing in Political, Sports and Corporate Sales.  She recently was Lead Consultant for Fox Sports for Political advertising. Prior to that Lisa was the National Sales Manager in Boston for the Red Sox and Bruins.

Lisa worked with Cox Media Group for over 25 years including roles as a National Rep Team Manager. She developed one of the strongest and highest billing teams in the country. Lisa moved to San Francisco as the Local Sales Manager working with Oakland Raiders and A’s and National Sales Manager in Jacksonville for Fox and CBS specializing in Corporate Sponsorships for the JAGS.  During her career she was renowned for recruiting, interviewing, training and leading top teams in the Broadcast Industry. Many of Lisa’s direct reports have been recognized for their successes and transitioned smoothly into upper management roles.

Training Methodology

SOF Transition Group follows a training methodology of assess, train, execute, repeat: 

Assess – Every SOF veteran has their own unique set of skills, experience, education, and training. SOF transition Group understands this and has developed a program that is tailored to you as an individual. One of our skilled Career Transition Counselors will work with you to determine your current strengths and challenges then design a custom curriculum that ensures you are prepared and confident for future interviews.

Train – After assessing your current strengths and challenges, your personal Career Transition Counselor will develop a tailored curriculum and provide the one-on-one training you need to accurately and efficiently convey your experience in a language that hiring managers understand.

Execute – After completing your tailored training program you will be afforded the opportunity to execute one or more mock interviews with your personal Career Transition Counselor. This affords you the opportunity to implement your newly learned interviewing techniques. Your Career Transition Counselor will provide candid feedback and guidance regarding your progress. 

Repeat – Based on your ability to execute the concepts taught and your comfort level with the interview process, you may wish to conduct further training. Your Career Transition Counselor will work with you until you have the skills and confidence needed to interview successfully.


Services

Basic Package
Price: $250.00

Assessment & Evaluation (1-2 Hours)

Initial video interview to evaluate skill sets, experiences, and transferable strengths. Develop a customized plan to translate skills into a language that industry hiring managers can understand.

Key Tasks:

  • Backwards plan a career strategy
  • Develop a career map
  • Define transferable skills

End State:

You will have a clear understanding and be able to articulate your natural strengths, core values, and core skills.

Interview Preparation (1 Hour)

Video conference to prepare a tailored interview strategy and action plan

Key Tasks:

  • Mastery of the STAR format
  • Identify interview techniques and skill gaps
  • Personal presentation management
  • Review question techniques for candidates and hiring managers
  • Discuss proper interview follow-up techniques 
  • Conduct After Action Review (AAR)
  • Receive materials to help reinforce techniques

End State:
You will have obtained a baseline knowledge of how to present yourself to a hiring manager and answer questions in an appropriate format that highlights you skills and experience.

Lieutenant Package
Price: $450.00

Includes all of the services provided in the Basic Package with the addition of:

Initial Mock Interview (1-2 Hours)

Mock video interview utilizing consistent interview questions which affords you an opportunity to utilize the skills acquired during your initial assessment and interview preparation.

Key Tasks:

  • Utilize self presentation in prior sessions to effectively answer interview questions
  • Coach gives feed back after each question and practice to develop comfort level with answers
  • Post-exercise coaching on problem areas
  • After Action Review (AAR ) upon completion

End State:

You will have successfully completed a mock interview utilizing the skills learned in prior training sessions. You will have a clear understanding of your individual strengths and weaknesses and an action plan to improve both.

Captain Package
Price: $750.00

Includes all of the services provided in the Lieutenant Package with the addition of:

Extended Training (1 Hour)

  • Impression Management
  • Influencing with nonverbal ques
  • Review resume and social medial connections

Full Mock Interview (1-2 Hours)

Full mock video interview with no breaks in between questions. This interview will more accurately represent  the conditions you will face in a live, video, or phone interview.  

Key Tasks:

  • Utilize skills taught and practiced in prior sessions to effectively answer interview questions
  • Post-exercise coaching 
  • After Action Review (AAR ) upon completion
  • Overview of Corporate Culture and Fit for assimilation

End State:

You will have successfully completed a full mock interview in conditions similar to an in person, video, or phone interview. You will feel more comfortable with the process of answering successive questions with no feedback in between.

SQT Package
Price: $1200.00

Includes all of the services provided in the Captain Package with the addition of:

Extended Training (Time varies based on individual)

  • Resume Audit with versions based on job opportunity
  • Social Media Audit coordinating with resume updates

Formal and Customized Mock Interview (1-2 Hours)

This formal video interview will is customized for the company or industry for which you are applying. The interview will accurately represent the conditions and questions you are likely to face from hiring managers at the company, or in the industry, you are perusing. 

Key Tasks:

  • Utilize skills taught and practiced in prior sessions to effectively answer interview questions
  • Post-exercise coaching 
  • Research company and format key questions for hiring manager
  • After Action Review (AAR ) upon completion

End State:

You will have successfully completed a formal mock interview in conditions conditions designed to match those specific to the industry or company you are pursuing. You will feel comfortable with the process and confident in your ability to succeed in an interview setting specific to your employment goals. 

Elite Package
Price: $1500.00

Includes all of the services provided in the SQT Package with the addition of:

Extended Training (1 hour)

  • Corporate culture overview
  • Corporate assimilation training

Post-interview Follow Up (1 hour)

You will conduct a video conference with your career transition counselor after your first real world interview to receive feedback and and prepare for follow-on interviews.

Key Tasks:

  • Consult with your career transition counselor on your perceived outcome of the interview
  • Your career counselor provides feedback and suggestions for your next round of interview
  • Devise an action plan based on lessons learned for future interviews

End State:

You will have successfully completed your first real interview and based on your Career Transition Counselor’s feedback, have a developed action plan for follow-on interviews.  

Focus and practice on running the interview with confidence in self presentation.

Additional Pre-Interview Training $135/hr
Price: $135.00

Pre-interview Preparation (1-2 hours)

Your Career Transition Counselor will conduct pre-interview training tailored to the position and company you will be interviewing for.

Key Tasks:

  • Conduct pre-interview prep
  • Conduct tailored mock interview
  • Identify any final adjustments that need to be maid

End State:

You will have successfully completed a mock interview tailored to the position and company you are applying to. Yow will be better prepared and confident f
